Pius Heinz has joined the likes of Chris Moneymaker, Joe Hachem, Peter Eastgate, Greg Raymer and others in the list of PokerStars to win the World Series of Poker Main Event since 2003. This is because; Heinz won the young Team PokerStars and lifted the WSOP crown in Las Vegas in the year 2011.

Heinz won $8,715,638 and proved once again that PokerStars is really the home of all the online poker champions. Heinz was a worthy champion as he showed a raw nerve throughout the tournament and excelled various players in the marathon tournament.

No one can deny that there is an element of luck in poker but skills also play a role in the game and Heinz’s win was a classic example of how skills coupled with a raw nerve can help a player to win in poker. It was all the dedication towards the game of Heinz that helped the player to lift the WSOP 2011 tournament. He has now joined the ranks of some of the most top players in poker after achieving this feat.
